What is Mods Versus Rockers?
Gangs of mods and rockers fighting in 1964 sparked a moral panic about British youths, and the two groups were seen as folk devils. The rockers adopted a macho biker gang image, wearing clothes such as black leather jackets. The mods adopted a pose of scooter-driving sophistication, wearing suits and other clean-cut outfits. By late 1966, the two subcultures had faded until a revival in the mid 80’s. WikiPedia Page Here.
Nowadays, this time period is celebrated with an event that features a vintage motorcycle and scooter show. Along with a myriad of vendors, highlights include a bike / scooter contest — period dress encouraged — and a day full of music from bands, a DJ spinning New Wave, Punk, Ska and Reggae, and raffles.
What does it cost?
Pricing is:
$30 for the all access pass which includes entry for the Friday Meetup at Mainstay, Saturday group ride (including a swag bag full of goodies, the Rally t-shirt), Mid Day Rally & Bike Show, Saturday Mods & Rockers Throwdown and Sunday Survivor Breakfast. One ticket to rule them all.
Or you can go a-la carte with $10 for Friday night, $10 for the Mods & Rockers Throwdown Saturday evening, and $10 for the Sunday breakfast. Rally shirts are available for sale at all of the events and online afterwards.

I don’t have a vintage motorcycle or scooter or even a cafe racer, can I still participate?
Yes, this is not an exclusive event. We welcome all nice people who want to ride. Mopeds, Goldwings, Enduros, Brat bikes, Rat bikes, new scooters or old scooters it doesn’t matter as long as you want to have fun and be social. If you don’t have a motor bike at all, you can show up at the rally point to eyeball all of the cool rides, make some friends, listen to music and visit our vendors booths. A good time for all.
Is There a Charity That Benefits From The Rally?
This year’s event will benefit the Change Of Heart Support Group. They are a local heart (and other organ) transplant support group providing education, counseling, and monetary support to transplant recipients. A portion of the proceeds will benefit this 501.3c organization that does good work in the region with transplant recipients to ensure the donated organs are used to their maximum potential.
How do I volunteer to help at the Rally?
That’s awesome that you are a giving person. We can use all of the help we can get to make this event successful. After all, we’d like to make this an annual event in Cincinnati and the best that it can be. Drop us a line via the Contact form and let us know you can help. Staff volunteers get a cool special limited edition Tshirt and some extra perks.
Is Camping Available?
Some folks from Michigan and Northern Ohio have asked about camping options nearby. Motorcyclists will often travel great distances with just a tent and backpack of clothing/gear to save money and enjoy a little outdoor adventure. So, here is what some of our members have recommended:
Winton Woods Park is $27 per night with full hookups. Great for tents, campers & RV’s.
Miami Whitewater is also a good alternative but a little further away from the Rally venue.

We could also put the request out if you’d like to camp in someone’s back yard

My husband and I are interested in finding a hotel for that weekend. We would be interested to know if there is the possibility of getting a group rate.
Thanks!
Lubrina, great to hear. We are working on getting some group rates with a local downtown hotel since both Friday night and Saturday night are downtown. I’ll post up some information soon on group rates.
Lubrina, see the above web page which has been updated with special rates at the Garfield Suites Hotel downtown.
Thanks for the update!
